It is success again for East Lodge, as the front of house team of this multi award-winning Peak District hotel and restaurant have once again been shortlisted for Outstanding Customer Service at this year’s Enjoy England Excellence Awards. East Lodge is assured of scooping either silver or gold at the ‘Tourism Oscars’ and to celebrate is offering brides and grooms-to-be an exclusive glance into what their special day could look like – at a Wedding Open Day on Saturday 26 February from 10.00am-4.00pm.
The Wedding Open Day gives future brides and grooms the opportunity to meet the award-winning wedding team responsible for ensuring that every last detail of their dream wedding is seamlessly taken care of. A number of East Lodge’s recommended suppliers, such as musicians, quality approved photographers, florists, and wedding hair and beauty specialists, will be on hand to offer advice and guidance regarding many of the most important decisions a bride will make.
There will also be an amazing competition; any couples booking on the day will be entered into a prize draw to win an apple iPad with its very own wedding planning app!
In addition, the first tasting of the exclusive East Lodge ‘Sapphire and Steel’ cocktail will also be taking place on the day. Developed to celebrate the forthcoming Royal Wedding, ‘Sapphire’ reflects Kate Middleton’s engagement ring, while ‘Steel’ is a nod towards the venue’s close links with the nearby ‘Steel City’ of Sheffield.
Iain Hardman, Director of the family-run hotel, commented: “Shortlisting in the National Finals again is fantastic news and our Wedding Day is the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate with our new Sapphire and Steel cocktail, while at the same time providing couples to be with an opportunity to see East Lodge for themselves and discover why we are up for an ‘Oscar once again.”
“We set out the hotel and restaurant as it would be on an actual wedding day, and each couple is treated to a guided tour and invited to view the food and drink options they could expect on their own special day,” added Iain. “We believe this is a much more realistic experience for couples deciding on a wedding venue and as our celebratory cocktail indicates, it is still not too late to tie the knot in the same year as William and Kate. Couples marrying at East Lodge book the venue exclusively and as our awards for customer service demonstrate, we always aim to leave our guests feeling like Royalty on their special day.”
Set within ten acres of landscaped gardens, visitors will be welcome to take a good look around the immaculate grounds and visit the handcrafted wedding pavilion set by the tranquil water garden so they can truly appreciate the fairytale location where they can hold their wedding ceremonies.
“There’s no need to make an appointment and there will certainly be no heavy sales teams like you often see at the big wedding fairs;” explained Iain. “Our wedding team will be on hand to answer any questions couples may have and with our experience of hosting so many weddings we’ve certainly picked up a few things over the years and are happy to share this with couples who have just started the process of planning a wedding.”
