Airports
The nearest airports to Rowsley are Manchester International
and East Midlands. Both airports offer full scheduled flights around
the world. For more assistance, please contact Reception. Birmingham
International Airport is just 74 miles
Car Parking
The Hotel has ample free car parking for the use of residents.
Check In
Check in is normally available from 2.30pm.
Check Out
Our
check out time is 10.45am. Should you require a later check out, please
contact Reception who will advise of the availability and charge.
Currency and credit cards accepted
We
accept pound; Sterling, Dollars and Euro, travellers cheques (US,
Sterling and Euros) for a 10% handling charge, Visa, MasterCard,
American Express, Delta, Switch, Solo, Electron, All cheques require to
be accompanied by a valid bank card. We are happy to arrange account
facilities for corporate customers
Disabled Travellers
The
Hotel offers a number of facilities to help disabled travellers. This
includes a specially designed bedroom, as well as dedicated parking
spaces. Should you require any assistance, please contact Reception who
will endeavour to help.
Dogs
Regrettably we are unable to accommodate dogs.
Dry Cleaning
A
same-day service is available from Monday to Saturday excluding Bank
Holidays. Dry cleaning and laundry will be delivered back to your room
after 6.30pm in the evening.
Fitness Centre
The
hotel does not have its own fitness centre. However we have made
arrangements for our guests to use the nearby Woodlands Fitness Centre.

Golf
There
are a number of challenging golf courses in the vicinity. East Lodge
has made special arrangements for our guests to play at Bakewell Golf
Club at a very modest fee.
How to get there
East Lodge is on the A6, 3 miles South of Bakewell and 5 miles North of Matlock at the junction of the B6012
From
the South take junction 28 of the M1 and take the Alfreton exit. Turn
off for the A615 to Matlock,. follow this road to Matlock and take the
A6 (North) signposted for Bakewell. This road will lead you to Rowsley.
You will see the black & gold signs for the hotel on the right just
as you get to the 30mph sign and just before the junction of the B6012
From
the North take junction 29 for Chesterfield and take the A617 again for
Chesterfield. At the next roundabout take the A619 for Buxton,
Chatsworth and Baslow. Continue on the A619 until you get to Baslow
approximately 7 miles and then follow signs for Chatsworth. Follow this
road until you get to Rowsley and at the main road (A6) turn left and
the hotel is immediately on your left hand side.
From
the Midlands follow the A38 northbound until the A615 Alfreton/ Matlock
turn off. Turn off for the A615 to Matlock,. follow this road to
Matlock and take the A6 (North) signposted for Bakewell. This road will
lead you to Rowsley. You will see the black & gold signs for the
hotel on the right just as you get to the 30mph sign and just before
the junction of the B6012

Meeting Rooms
The Hotel has three meeting rooms accommodating 16 to 100 delegates.. The main meeting rooms have broadband connectivity.
Mobile Phones
For the benefit of fellow guests, you are respectfully asked not to use mobile phones in the dining or reception rooms.
Packed and picnic meals
Packed
lunch menus are available – must be ordered by 21.00 the previous
evening. Gourmet packed lunches with champagne, smoked salmon &c
are also available
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the Hotel.
Restaurant Reservations
To
avoid disappointment, please book your table in the restaurant, should
you wish to take Lunch or Dinner. We will make every effort to give
priority to hotel guests. The dress code is smart casual; no jeans or T
shirts. Guests are reminded that there is a no smoking policy in the
hotel
Lunch is served from 12.00 until 2.00pm
Dinner is served from 6.30pm with last orders at 9.00pm
Room Service
Room
service is available from 10:30 until 2130. There is a £5.00 per person
service charge. Drinks are served throughout the day.
Smoking
There is no smoking on the premises at East Lodge
Special diets
We
cater for just about any special diets, but advance notice is
preferred. Vegetarian options are available at all times in our
restaurants

If you’re celebrating one during your stay....we can make it memorable....
Champagne,
chocolates, flowers, roses,!! Four poster rooms. Many rooms have king
sized beds. Celebration cakes, gourmet packed lunches. Derbyshire,
continental or champagne breakfast in bed by arrangement.
Taxis
Taxis
can be arranged by the hotel. It is advisable to book your taxi early.
This is a rural area and taxis, especially on a Saturday night, are
always busy.
Television & in room entertainment
Rooms
are provided with televisions with integral DVD players. The following
channels are available. BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and Channel 4. The hotel
carries a selection of DVD’s which are available for rent at a cost of
£3.50. The DVD players will also play music CD’s. Please ask Reception
for the current list of DVD films
Walking
This
is ideal “walking country” with walks to suit everyone from the casual
rambler to the serious hiker. We have developed a series of walks from
the hotel.
