With the festive season now approaching, the second edition of In Season, the food and facts driven newsletter from multi award-winning hotel and restaurant, East Lodge, is now available.
Launched as a quarterly seasonal publication, the winter 2011-2012 In Season follows on from the autumn edition, packed with news from in and around East Lodge, together this time with seasonal Christmas culinary updates, and an uplifting look towards the prospects for fresh spring produce next year.
The brainchild of East Lodge owner David Hardman and head chef Simon Bradley, the first In Season was so well received that a second installment was always on the menu.
“We are delighted with the reception In Season has received and are pleased to be producing issue two as a result,” said David Hardman. “We try to give an insight into not only to the East Lodge philosophy and approach to food, but also food tips readers can try at home together with hotel industry insights.”
In this issue, Simon gives readers his tips on the way to ensure the turkey is cooked to perfection this year; behind the scenes news is focused on the Tourism Minister’s recent visit to East Lodge, while industry news covers the hotel star ratings system – explained in plain English for the general public to try and better understand.
