Rowsley’s multi award-winning hotel and restaurant, East Lodge, is helping ladies surprise their loved ones with a proposal this leap year - by offering an extra special Valentine’s package and menu on February 29. The ultimate romantic leap year getaway package will ensure the scene is set perfectly for ladies planning on popping the question.
No stranger to romance, the popular wedding venue created the luxurious romantic package for couples wishing to celebrate together in style on 14 February at an affordable price. With the leap year giving ladies the chance to propose to their loved ones on 29 February the top 150 luxury hotel and 3 AA rosette Peak District restaurant is bringing back the romantic deal - for one night only.
From an affordable £125.00 per person (luxury 4 poster rooms available at a supplement), the package at East Lodge is available for overnight stays on Wednesday 29 February. Complimentary pink champagne and luxury chocolates, award-winning country house Derbyshire breakfast and five course candlelit tasting menu is all included in the price. All that is left to arrange is when to actually pop the question?
Wander around the fabulous 10 acres of landscaped gardens or relax and unwind in one of East Lodge’s luxury en-suite bedrooms, with complimentary pink champagne and luxury chocolates before heading to the 3 AA Rosette restaurant for the specially created five course romantic dinner.
Head Chef, Simon Bradley, has created a unique and dazzling five course menu that went down a treat on Valentine’s Day. Having only recently been awarded three prestigious Rosettes from the AA, the East Lodge restaurant can now boast being in the top 10% of dining venues in the UK.
“So many men bring their partners to East Lodge to propose as we’re known for our romantic setting and expertise in making special occasions unique, “ said Deputy Managing Director Iain Hardman. “February 29 only comes around every four years and is traditionally the day for the ladies to take the lead and propose to their loved ones. We wanted to give any loving ladies a helping hand by providing the perfect setting to do it. All the team at East Lodge love romance and will be on hand to go that extra mile to make sure that any East Lodge proposals go perfectly.”
Three AA Rosettes allows East Lodge to describe itself as one of the top UK venues for food as well as accommodation, as the renewal of the hotel’s red star status also demonstrates. Other awards include ‘Small Hotel of the Year’ from East Midlands Tourism and a silver winner in ‘Hotel of the Year’ from the ‘Tourism Oscars’. East Lodge is owned by the Hardman family and the AA’s three red stars place the hotel in a select bracket of the top 150 hotels in the whole of the UK and this exclusive venue remains one of just 48 hotels in the country presented with a Visit England Gold Award.
