Chef’s freshly made soup of the day

Sauté of mushroom on toasted brioche, poached duck egg & tarragon

Our own recipe East Lodge  fishcake, with purple sprouting broccoli , smoked haddock & leek velouté

Watercress, black pudding, smoked bacon & soft poached egg salad

Steamed Shetland mussels in a white wine & parsley sauce

Terrine of guinea fowl & bacon, red onion marmalade & toast

Plate of smoked salmon, properly garnished

Egg “Benedict”  or “Royale” glazed with hollandaise sauce

Steak, oxtail & kidney pudding, Guinness gravy & root vegetables

Grilled calves liver, bacon, herbed potato cake & onion rings

Beer battered cod fillet with chips, mushy peas & tartare sauce

Char grilled fillet steak with confit tomato, flat mushroom, chips & garlic butter (£5.00 supplement)
