You will have no doubt seen in the news that hospitality venues have been mandated to close their doors if they are located in a Tier 3 area. If you have a booking that between now and 16th December, we want to reassure you that we will take all the necessary steps to help you rearrange your stay. Please allow us to get in touch with you rather than calling us. We will be doing our best to help with your plans.Please only call us if your enquiry is urgent as our phone lines will not be manned full time. Our luxury accommodation will not reopen until December 16th, subject to government guidelines, and will be offered on a “room only” basis with an option for our award-winning breakfast.The hotel will be open for our delicious afternoon teas, sandwiches and pastries and we will have introduced an “Afternoon Tea To Go” service
Very regrettably, social distancing and capacity restrictions mean that the hotel restaurant will not be open for lunch or dinner except for our award winning breakfast and delicious, mouth-watering’ Afternoon Teas.
However, there are many and varied places to dine in the immediate area, Check Dining Out.
We have worked very hard in creating an environment that is safe for everyone to enjoy and hope that you will continue to support us throughout the
Winter season, we have plenty more to offer both in the hotel and our surrounding areas which will more than make up for it!
With many changes to our services and operations to make your stay as safe and as comfortable as possible, our purpose for being here doesn’t change at all and that is to provide all guests with an enjoyable and relaxing break so that you all leave feeling refreshed and recharged.We very much look forward to welcoming you to the hotel!

Covid-19: Keeping you safe
When we welcome you to East Lodge, you should know that the safety and wellbeing of you and our staff is our absolute priority.
Therefore, we have introduced a range of safety policies and procedures, aimed at delivering the safest environment possible.Our staff have undergone rigorous training to ensure the hotel is prepared to welcome you to a safe environment, and our team is working hard to ensure that all areas are safe and secure.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We are following all government regulations and guidance to keep our guests and team safe; all Covid-19 policies are based on current UK government guidelines and are being constantly reviewed based on the latest advice.
With that in mind, some of the information you receive at the time of booking may be out of date by the time you stay at the hotel.

The experience may look a little different in this new normal, but we hope it will feel the same; ultimately, it is still our people caring for you and delivering the same attention to detail and personalised service that you are used to at East Lodge.
We want to reassure you that we've put measures in place to keep you and our teams safe so that you can confidently enjoy a stay with us.
East Lodge is in Tier 3 Very (high) areas, and we will be observing the regulations set out for Tier 3

If you are coming to East Lodge to stay or a table booking from a Tier 2 (High) area, the regulations in your area move with you as you travel, so we ask that you observe the regulations set out for Tier 3 areas during your visit.

If you are due to be staying with us and you are travelling from a Tier 3 area, we kindly ask that you rearrange your booking to a later date.
We firmly believe this needs to be a joint effort, so we ask you to please play your part in keeping everyone safe. In return we will be doing the same for you.
If you experience any symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days prior to your stay, please stay at home.
We support the NHS Covid-19 Track , Test & Trace service.
We are required by law to record the names and contact details of all visitors to the East Lodge.
This information will be supplied to NHS Track & Test service on request.
We urge you to download the NHS COVID-19 app and to scan the QR code which is displayed at the hotel.
Hand sanitiser units are provided at the entrance and must be used before entering the hotel.
We also ask guest to sanitise or wash hands frequently.
Only one person per reservation to complete check-in at the reception desk, all keys & key fobs will be sanitised.
Contactless or card payment will be taken on arrival with the use of email/e-billing only.
A strict cleaning process has been put in place to ensure all areas of the hotel are cleaned regularly, especially "high touch" items.Left luggage facility will be temporarily removed.
A face covering is always required when not seated at a table.
Please always adhere to current social distancing measures, even where there are no signs or barriers.We have increased cleaning and disinfecting frequency throughout the hotel, paying attention to high-touch items.There are hand sanitisers at entrances and in public areas.A protective screen is in place at receptionPlease only use your bedroom toilet facilities to reduce the number of people using the public toilets.
In preparation for your visit an enhanced cleaning and sanitising process has been implementedAll linen and towels are washed by a commercial laundry company at temperatures above 60°C for optimal disinfection.Room services will be suspended during your stay. Housekeepers will only refresh towels, disposable cups, coffee capsules and remove rubbish daily upon request. Rooms will be fully serviced on the 3rd night.Unessential high touch items have been removed from rooms to minimise housekeeping contact and risk within rooms.Room Service will not be available.Should you prefer that no one enter your room please use the 'Do Not Disturb' sign.
Our restaurant, bar and lounges are open with social distancing guidelines in place and the following adjustments to our usual services:The restaurant is only open for Breakfast and Afternoon Tea. Guests must not mingle with other tables. It is law that customers can only visit in groups of up to 6 people from a single household or support bubble (What is a support bubble?) A face covering is required at all times when not seated at a table.Try to only use your bedroom toilet facilities to reduce the number of people using the public toilets.The restaurant staff will wear a face covering and stick to a strict hand washing and sanitising regime.Orders will be taken at the able and all food & drink will be served to your table.All bills will be charged to your bedroom to avoid unnecessary contact during the payment process.
We believe breakfast is one of the most important parts of your visit. So, we have made the following changes to ensure a leisurely, luxurious breakfast:Our usual buffet will be replaced with a Table Service Breakfast including, juices, cereals, and cooked itemsPre-Booked time slots will be required to accommodate social distancing and manage our reduced restaurant capacity. Double check your room for items of property as items left behind will have to be disposed of.Check out as normal at reception with Contactless or Card Payment only.Please deposit key cards in the box at reception prior to leaving.
